DO YOU NAME YOUR DEVICES?

Do you name your machines? Many people do.
– FlippedCracker says, “My ipad is Pablo, my main ipod is Gormagon (4G nano), but I also have Lucy (3G red nano), Dewey (3G black nano), and Bruce Leeroy (5G video).
– Dither1024 says, “My laptop is Tess (no reason, just liked the name). I also name houseplants. I live with Herman, Bee, and Pokey.”
– One woman’s sister calls her navigation system “Roger”.
– “All of my machines are named after characters in Don Quixote. My Macbook is Dulcinea, the workhorse is Rocinante.”
– One guy names his hard drives are named after types of penguins; another names them after goddesses: Kali, Isis, Eris, Juno, Lilith & Hera.
– Yet another guy names his hard drives after Muppets.
* Well, it’s easier for these people than going out and making REAL friends.
* This was bound to happen once people were left to their own devices with their own devices.
* Once you start naming your houseplants, why stop there? Why not the furniture?
* I don’t name my devices. Otherwise my stuffed animals will get jealous.
* Okay, I name one of them. But that depends if you think your sex organ is a device.
* Sorry, but I call my computer more than just one name.
* I’d repeat some of them but the FCC is listening.
