WHAT SKILL HAVE YOU NEVER BEEN ABLE TO MASTER?
(December, 2021) Someone on Twitter asked, “What’s a common skill you just can’t seem to master?” Some of the replies:
– “I’ve never tied my shoes properly. I use two loops.” (* Try loafers.)
– “Snapping fingers.”
– “Never been able to blow a bubble with gum.” (* You would think bubble gum comes with instructions.)
– “I can’t make a lay up.” (* You know, Kobe Bryant missed a lot of shots too, and he didn’t do so badly.)
– “Remembering people’s names. I know their face, I can picture their spouses, kids and in some cases their pets, but can’t remember any of the names until I’ve been prompted at least a dozen times. But if they have a dog, I know their dog’s name.”
– “I can not hula hoop for some reason.” (* I can’t either. It’s a good thing it’s not a job requirement for radio.)
– “I cannot for the life of me make proper fluffy delicious rice. It’s always just slightly over or under cooked.”
– “Spitting.”
– “Burping. I can’t burp.” (* Must be a helluva farter, though.)
– “Rolling my Rs.”
– “Selecting the right size Tupperware for the amount of leftovers. Either its twice too big, or it’s overflowing.” (* Choosing a coffin for their spouse is going to be interesting when the time comes.)
– “Spelling the word ‘restaurant.'”
– “I can tell my left from my right, but not my right from my left.”
– “Chopsticks.”
