WEIRD THINGS AT OTHER PEOPLE’S HOUSES

April, 2014 – The FARK website asked, “What’s the weirdest thing you saw at someone’s house that was completely normal to them?” Some of the responses:
– Guy kept his Christmas cards on his front door all year long.
– I dated a guy whose family kept a chair in the bathroom so you could keep a person company while they [went to the bathroom]. And they used it.
– My aunt and uncle have an outdoor, 80-gallon trashcan in their kitchen. As the kitchen trash can. It’s constantly full and overflowing onto the floor.
– We had neighbors who astro-turfed their front walk and wrapped their front door in aluminum foil.
– My in-laws love dimmer switches. They recently built a new house, and every single light switch has a little dimmer slider. Every. Single. One. In every room. For every light.
– They keep a snowmobile in the front foyer, because it’s the only place that stays dry and warm in the winter.
– Naked pictures of themselves.
– Her uterus, bronzed, on the coffee table after her hysterectomy.

* By the way, all these people are talking about the same family.
* All of us sure are lucky that it’s only OTHER people who are weird.
* Then there was the guy who went to a friend’s house and saw something he didn’t expect – his wife.
* I once went into a woman’s bedroom with her and she had one of those little trampolines for gymnastics by her bed.
* And I’m proud to say that woman is now my wife.
* She knew I was “The One” when I stuck the dismount.
* I think it’s weird when they have a rack for magazines by the toilet.
* You know what’s really weird? When you see exercise equipment like a stationary bike only it isn’t being used to hang coats.
