DODGEBALL GAME TURNS VIOLENT
(January, 2017) A teen from Maiden Rock, Wisconsin, faces a felony charge of battery after a high school dodgeball game took a violent turn. Back on October 11 at Ellsworth High School, Jacob Sigler, 18, punched another student in the head after a game of dodgeball during gym class. The 16-year-old told police that Sigler and three other boys were throwing balls at him. He then threw one back at Sigler. After Sigler ran out of balls, he “closed his fist and punched the 16-year-old in the face,” knocking him to the ground and causing a facial fracture. The victim said he’d had issues with Sigler in the past.
* Sigler ran out of balls? Couldn’t they rephrase that?
* The gym teacher didn’t intervene ’cause he didn’t have any balls, either.
* This guy should do fine in the exercise yard in prison.
* Can’t we keep the violence where it belongs: on the football field?
