RED FLAGS IN RELATIONSHIPS

(October, 2017) The London Daily Mail asked women to submit the Red Flag in their relationships – the things they should have noticed at first about how they were with the wrong guy:
– “He stood up during the brunch date to look around because he thought he saw his ex.”
– “I should have known he was a sociopath when he made me watch scary movies until I cried and screamed. He was fascinated by fear because he can’t feel it.”
– “My ex said to me, ‘Why can’t you just get pregnant already so I can settle down.’ Big red flag – the next day I found out he was cheating on me.”
– “My boyfriend told me he didn’t want me playing video games because you can chat with other people.”
– “My boyfriend is ignoring me and always on his phone. Huge red flag.”
– “If you’re going overboard on the compliments that’s a clear red flag for me. That’s how my abuser won me over, but I know better now.”
– “He said to keep your relationship a secret. Red flag ignored. My bad. Jerk.”
– “I should have known it wasn’t going to last when he said to me, ‘Baby, you can’t hurt me’ instead of ‘I trust you’.”
– “Our anniversary being on Friday the 13th should’ve been my first red flag.”
– “It should have been a red flag when his pet name for me was “Mom”.
