POLL: WHAT IS CHEATING?

(April, 2017) According to a Deseret News (a Salt Lake City newspaper) poll on national attitudes about adultery:
– Roughly three quarters of Americans agree that having sex or kissing someone other than your partner is always cheating.
– 51 percent say sending flirtatious messages is always cheating.
– 19 percent say watching pornography without a partner is always cheating.
– 16 percent say following an ex on social media is always cheating.
– 6 in 10 women (59 percent) believe that sending flirtatious messages to someone other than your partner is always cheating, compared to 42 percent of men, a 17 percentage point gap.
– 73 percent say having a one-night stand with someone other than your partner is always cheating. This means that 1 out of 4 don’t believe a one-night-stand is cheating.
* Bring these numbers up at dinner tonight with your spouse.
* Watching pornography without a partner is always cheating? That’s one step away from Fascism.
* If you can’t watch pornography alone, the terrorists have won.
* Sure, that’s what every guy thinks when he stumbles across some mind-blowing porn: “Wow! I can’t wait to watch this with my wife!”
* “Wait’ll she sees the part with the horse! She LOVES horses!”
* What would the results of this poll be in, say, Las Vegas?
