PETS AND DATING
(June 2014) A survey by Match.com and PetSmart found out these things about people with pets:
– 59 percent of respondents would perceive their date as more attractive if they found out he or she had adopted, rather than bought, their pet.
– 25 percent of women have been more attracted to someone because of their pet.
– 97 percent of cat owners would have a relationship with a “dog person”…
– … but only 66 percent of dog owners would have a relationship with a cat person.
– Men are four times more likely to use their pets to attract a potential date.
– 35 percent of single women have been more attracted to someone because of their pet.
– 27% of women find photos of pets in an online dating profile a turn-on.
* Nice to see we have our relationship priorities in order.
* How do women feel about a guy who, say, borrows a pet?
* By the way, if you’re one of those guys with a giant spider in a cage, don’t even bother trying to use Match.com.
* I can’t picture a man looking at a really hot woman and saying, “I’m sorry. I can’t go out with you because you have a cat.”
* They might be out there – I just can’t picture it.
* Here’s a question: Has there ever been a single woman with an aquarium?
* One thing’s more clear: A mouse person would never move in with a python person.
* And for that matter a hyena person wouldn’t fall for a lion person.
* Is anyone else uncomfortable with the idea of Match.com hooking up with Petsmart?
* PHONE TOPIC: Did you ever reject a date because of their pet? What kind was it?
