COMMON MISTAKES ON YOUR DATING PROFILE
(May 2014) From YourTango.com, here are 4 Common Mistakes On Your Dating Profile. Ladies, we’re talking to you:
– Mistake #1 Writing An Epic Novel: A dating profile should be short and sweet. There should be just enough information to spark our interest, and make us want to find out more about you. We don’t need to know about every tiny detail of your life from high school to now – that’s what getting to know you is all about.
– Mistake #2 Miss Angry At The World: Don’t talk about how your last boyfriend cheated on you and broke your heart. It says you have a strong distrust of men. That isn’t the kind of woman most men want to date.
– Mistake #3 The List: You can’t expect guys to sit there ticking off a long list to see if they meet all your requirements.
– Mistake #4 The Travel Journalist: Men don’t need to see every vacation picture you’ve taken since high school. One or two photos of your trips is fine.
* Preferably from when you were skinny-dipping.
* My biggest dating profile mistake was letting my wife see it.
* Some helpful phrases for your profile include things like “I party too much” and “I know what you want.”
* I’d also leave out “loves hiking and walks on the beach.” Everyone says that.
* If everyone who said that actually walked on a beach the oceans would cave in.
* Remember this: Most people who read your profile will assume you’re lying anyway.
* And no fair using a picture from 20 years ago.
* Don’t be “Miss Angry at the World.” Let the poor schmuck find out about your rage later.
