WOMEN CHOOSE MEN WHO LOOK LIKE THEIR BROTHERS

(May, 2017) Well this is icky. A new study seems to confirm that women tend to opt for romantic partners who resemble their brothers. Participants were given a piece of paper on which there was a picture of the brother of a woman, and four pictures of other men – three random men and one of her partner. They were then asked to say which of the four other men resembled the brother the most. The results were striking. Researchers found “clear evidence for perceptual similarity in facial photographs of a woman’s partner and her brother”.
