BEN & JERRY’S SAYS YOU’RE EATING ICE CREAM ALL WRONG
Ben & Jerry’s have some suggestions on better ways to handle your ice cream.
– Make sure your freezer is below zero degrees Fahrenheit and that you’re storing your ice cream in the back of the freezer to make sure it stays super cold.
– If it’s too cold once you take it out because of having your freezer at zero-freakin’-degrees, leave it on the counter for a few minutes before digging in.
– Instead of scooping, cut your carton with a large serrated knife. This will cut down on the time it spends out of the freezer. Also, the little disc of ice cream will make for super-easy ice cream sandwiches.
– Once you’re done cutting, or scooping if you simply HAVE to, cover the ice cream with wax paper, parchment paper, or plastic wrap before putting on the lid.
– Store your ice cream upside down because it causes the melted ice cream to drip onto the lid where it has less chance of ruining the still-cold portion.

* Oy! When did Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield become such kibitzers?
* Way too much work, fellas.
* Do I need to pre-warm the spoon, too? Chill the bowl in ice water? Put on insulated gloves before handling the carton?
* One hint they missed: The ice cream at Costco is way cheaper.
