THE BEST TIPPERS: MEN, REPUBLICANS

(July, 2017) Who are the best tippers? According to a new survey by CreditCards.com, the most generous tippers are men, Republicans, Northeasterners and credit and debit card users. All these groups tip a median of 20% when dining at a restaurant. At the other end of the spectrum, women tip a median of 16% and Democrats, southerners and people who pay in cash tip a median of 15%.
* No wonder Democrats want to boost the minimum wage. They feel bad about being so cheap.
* I guess when it comes to sharing the wealth, Democrats just want to share other people’s.
* On the other hand, Republicans tip more ’cause they feel guilty about stacking the deck for rich people.
* Meanwhile, what’s the women’s problem? Maybe they feel cranky after eating a big meal ’cause they know the jeans are going to be tight tomorrow.
