BIGGEST REASON PEOPLE DON'T SAVE MONEY: DINING OUT

(May, 2015) According to a new SunTrust survey conducted online by Harris Poll among those whose households make $75,000 or more annually:
– 44 percent of Americans who earn more than $75,000 a year say they aren’t able to save as much as they should thanks to their “lifestyle purchases.” Their biggest splurge? Dining out, with an overwhelming 68 percent of people pointing to restaurant meals out as the top reason why they aren’t saving enough money.
* Wow – do we hate to cook!
* Or maybe we’re just sick and tired of doing the dishes.
* So why does every magazine have recipes in it?
* Any why are there so many cooking shows?
* I work in radio. My restaurant meal comes in a paper bag with fries.
* When did eating become a lifestyle purchase?
* You want to scare yourself: Figure out how much you can spend at Starbucks in a year.
* That should lead to a spike in coffee machine sales right there.
