AUDIO: PROFANTIY MAKES YOU STRONGER

(January, 2018) Cursing makes you stronger. A new study from the Journal of Psychology of Sport and Exercise has found that subjects who cursed during a 30-second stationary bicycle test had a 4.6 percent increase in power, while those who yelled profanities during a grip strength test saw an 8.2 percent increase. David K. Spierer, a professor of sports sciences at Long Island University and co-author of the study, says it’s because swearing is an effective distraction during difficult exercises. He says “using swearwords might be helpful in any circumstance where muscle strength and a sudden burst of force or speed is required.”
* That’s effing fantastic!
* It’s why the Scottish are so strong.
* So how come superheroes don’t swear? They just grunt and groan when they’re trying to lift things and stuff.
