AMERICA HAS A HOARDING PROBLEM

(December, 2017) America is a nation of hoarders. A new survey by closet organization company ClosetMaid found over half of the respondents said they had somewhat of a clutter issue plaguing their home, and one in seven admits they have “a great deal of clutter”. Nearly a third of survey respondents currently have a completely broken item sitting around their home that they can’t bring themselves to throw out (* Do spouses count?). Here are the Top 10 items Americans like to hoard:
– Old clothing
– Seasonal items
– Old footwear
– Books
– Boxes
– Clothing never worn
– Old chargers and cables
– Old magazines and newspapers
– Old movies
– Outdated electronics
* People hoarding? Hey, that would make a good reality show!
* “Old footwear”? So THAT’S where that smell is coming from!
* If you want to feel better about hoarding, just replace the word “old” with “classic”.
* Just between you and me, I think America has a survey problem, too.
* Don’t tell me to get rid of old electronics. Record players are coming back. 8-track tape players can’t be far behind.
* PHONE TOPIC: What’s the largest item in your house that you never use, yet you can’t bring yourself to get rid of it?
