THE AGES AT WHICH YOU'LL BE AT YOUR BEST

(March, 2017) According to various studies, here’s what ages you will peak at certain things throughout your life:
– Learning a language – age 7 or 8. We’re best at picking up a second language before we reach puberty.
– Brain Power – According to a study published in 2016, 18-year-olds had the sharpest grey matter.
– Attractiveness – 23, if you are a woman. Men find women most attractive when they are 23, and that doesn’t change much as men get older according to a 2010 study.
– Life satisfaction #1 – There are several peaks for life satisfaction but age 23 is the first.
– Strength – Your muscles reach their peak at 25, and stay on track for the next 10 or 15 years.
– Settling down – 26 is the age you are most likely to have met the partner you will settle with and, if you get married between 28 and 32, you are less like to divorce.
– Salary – On average women’s salaries peak at about 39 and that is because many see their pay slow in their 30s as they have families. Men’s wages, however, continue to rise and peak at about age 48.
– Math skills – 50 is the age we can solve mental arithmetic the quickest.
– Life satisfaction #2 – 69. You’re satisfied at the age of 23, then there’s a slump, but satisfaction picks up again at around 69.
– Happiness with your body – 74. Two thirds of people over 65, surveyed by Gallup, said they were happy with the way they looked. Men’s self-confidence about their looks peaked in their 80s while women was at 74.
* I think they’re confusing satisfaction with just not caring anymore.
* It also helps that your vision isn’t as good.
* If all of these apply to you: Congratulations, you have no imagination whatsoever.
* So we’re smartest when we’re 18? That’s not how I remember it.
* Maybe there’s more brain activity at that age, but most of it is horniness.
* Sure, men’s self-confidence in their looks peaks in their 80s but there’s another word for that: It’s called senility.
* We have a slump in satisfaction from age 23 to 69, but don’t worry … those 46 years will seem to fly by.
* By the age of 69, a lot of the people who annoy you have died off.
