THE MOST POPULAR DREAM JOBS

(March, 2016) A new survey from The Balvenie whiskey company in Scotland asked, if money were no object, would you change jobs? Almost 8 in 10 people would instantly leave their jobs to re-train in a fine craft. And those Top Ten jobs are:
1. Photography (26%)
2. Musician (18%)
3. Interior design (17%)
4. Chef/baker (16%)
5. Jewelery design (15%)
6. Landscape gardening (12%)
7. Illustrator/artist (12%)
8. Beer/wine brewing (9%)
9. Pottery (9%)
10. Farming (8%)
* Notice nobody said “radio”.
* Pottery. Yeah, that’s where the big bucks are.
* Here’s an easy job: Thinking up useless surveys incorporating hypothetical premises that will never happen.
* Next up from the Balvenie whiskey company: If you could change places with anyone in history, who would it be?
* Speaking of changing jobs, how about firing the people at the Balvenie whiskey company who can’t seem to focus on making whiskey?
* I question the contradictory nature of the term “dream job.”
* People actually chose chef or baker? Just start by looking at the hours.
