(March, 2016) This is going around the internet: Things you can say in response to literally anything when you have nothing else to say. Try them out:
– As the prophecy foretold.
– But at what cost?
– So… it has come to this.
– That’s just what he/she/they would have said.
– Is this why fate brought us together?

– There is no escape from destiny.
– In this economy?
* Cop pulls you over: “Do you know how fast you were going?” You: “(sigh) As the prophecy foretold.”
* McDonald’s worker: “Do you want those fries supersized?” You: “”In this economy?”
* Also, if you use a few of these at the office, people will stop talking to you and you can get some work done.
* Don’t forget the classic: “You can say that again.”
* Then there’s the variation where you just respond, “If you say so…”
