CANADIAN GRAPE THIEVES
Workers arrived at Canada’s Vignoble Coteau Rougemont vineyard on Thursday, ready to pick the last grapes of the season. They discovered thieves had hit the site overnight – making off with half a ton of grapes – enough for 325 bottles of white wine, retailing at $5,000 Canadian dollars (around US$3,800). It appears the thieves used an all-terrain vehicle, garbage bags and a small trailer to make off with the grapes in the middle of the night, as they left behind a trash bag.
* So, thievery AND littering.
* They looked for more clues, but decant find any.
* It was shaping up to be a good year, but now things don’t look so rosé.
* Now the owners won’t stop whining. ‘Cause they had to stop wining.
* Not even a note from the thieves that said, “Sorrey.”
* This looks like the work of the Stolen Grape Bunch.
