$25,000 "SERVICE DOGS" WERE JUST UNTRAINED PUPPIES
A Virginia company called Service Dogs by Warren Retrievers claimed they were selling highly trained service dogs that, with the nudge of a nose or paw, would alert owners to spikes or dips in blood sugar. In truth, the service dogs were just untrained puppies. The company was charging $18,000 to $27,000 for 3-month-old Labrador retriever puppies that were unable to perform their task or even to walk properly on leashes, respond when called, or remain calm around loud noises or new people. The state has filed a lawsuit against the company based on complaints from more than 50 customers.
* So all these people thought they had were going into insulin shock when all the dog wanted was some puppy chow?
* Dogs that can sense your blood sugar? Did they think the dogs were wizards?
* For $30,000 they have a Greyhound that can do your taxes.
* What a great scam – even for $25,000, who’s going to get rid of a Labrador puppy?
* Good luck retrieving your money.
* I just Googled this – you can get a blood glucose tester at Walmart for 9 bucks. Just sayin’.
