ZOO DIRECTOR SERVES ANIMALS AT PARTY

The director of a private zoo in southern Mexico is accused of taking four of the zoo’s pygmy goats and serving them to staff at their Christmas party. José Rubén Nava is accused of stealing and selling dozens of animals from Zoológico Zoochilpan in Chilpancingo, Mexico. Officials discovered that dozens of animals had gone missing during Nava’s short reign over the zoo. The whereabouts of a jaguarundi, a coyote, 10 reptiles, a baby macaw and a red-tailed hawk are completely unknown, while several animal births that occurred during Nava’s tenure were not registered or were listed as false deaths. Among other misdeeds, he allegedly traded a zebra to a person in Querétaro, about 300 miles away, in exchange for three red deer.
* Talk about being unclear on the concept.
* It sounds like the plot of a sequel to “The Menu.”
* It’s like “Dr. Dolittle” if Dr. Dolittle had been really, really hungry.

* All I know is, the zoo snack bar has a two-star Michelin rating, and that’s pretty good.
