YOU GOT IN THE CAR. WHY ARE YOU STILL SITTING THERE?
Have you ever said goodbye to a visitor at your house, and you had a great time, and you watch them get in the car, and you wave goodbye and go back into your house, and then you look out the window and THEY’RE STILL SITTING THERE OUTSIDE YOUR HOUSE? Whay are they doing that? Reddit wanted to know, here are some of the replies;
– “Picking out music, setting a GPS, reading a text, any number of things.”
– “Waiting for the AC to be cold.”
– “Decompressing.”
– “Enjoying the one moment of peace and quiet in my entire day can you just let me have it?”
– “Getting some me time before I go home to the kids.”
– “I’ll just sit and chill in my car anywhere from a few minutes to an hour when I get home.”
– “Enjoying my prime parking spot just a little longer.”
– “Having an existential crisis.”
– “I have pretty bad ADHD. Sometimes I’ll hop in the car and all the sudden I realize I’ve been sitting there scrolling through Reddit for 10 minutes.”
– “My wife does this: Takes her seat. Adjusting her seat (she’s the only person who drives her car). Dropping of her purse on the rear seat. Adjusting rear view mirror (again and again). Being surprised her car keys are not in the ignition slot. Retrieving car keys from her purse. looking up all the keys in her key ring to find correct key. Shifting gears (again and again) before starting the engine. Buckling up. Adjusting rear view mirror (again and again. Again). Shifting gears (repetitively) after starting engine.”
* PHONE TOPIC: Do you, or someone you know, always take forever to start driving? What is your pre-driving routine?
