WOMAN WAKES UP SPEAKING IN ACCENTS

A woman in Buckeye, Arizona, suffers from a rare condition that causes her to wake up with different accents. Michelle Myers suffers from Foreign Accent Syndrome, a rare condition that causes the accents. Myers says she goes to bed with a blinding headache and wakes up speaking with an accent. It’s happened three times in the past seven years. She’s never left the United States. The first time it happened to her, the accent was Irish. Then it was Australian. Now, it’s British. “Everybody only sees or hears Mary Poppins,” Myers said, while speaking in a British accent.
