WOMAN STUCK IN BACKYARD POOL

An Epping, New Hampshire, woman became stuck in her swimming pool after the ladder broke when she was getting out. Sixty-one-year-old Leslie Kahn was swimming in her 4-foot deep, above-ground pool on August 11. When she went to get out, the aluminum ladder broke, leaving her stranded. She didn’t have the strength to pull herself over the edge. She also had a hurt knee. No one else was home and her cellphone was inside. After three hours, Kahn realized her iPad was sitting on a nearby chair. She was able to reach a pool pole and used that to drag over the chair holding her iPad. She posted in a community Facebook page, asking for help. A woman who lived nearby showed up, followed soon after by police and a neighbor.
* Her condition was described as fair, but pruny.
* Time to start doubling up on arm day at the gym.
* Why not drag the chair over, and use that as a step to get out of the pool? You don’t have to be MacGyver to figure that one out.
