WEDDING NO-SHOWS GET BILL FROM BRIDE
Jessica Baker of Andover, Minnesota, and her husband had planned to attend a cousin’s wedding but had to skip when their child care fell through at the last minute. The invitation specifically said “no children,” so the couple stayed home. A few weeks later, Jessica received an invoice from the newlyweds arrived for the wedding meal they missed. Said Jessica, “I was pretty shocked to see that I was being charged $75 for herb-crusted walleye and a service and tax charge.” A typed note on the bill reads, “Reimbursement and explanation for no show, card, call or text would be appreciated.”
* Wow, imagine being married to this ball-cruncher.
* And you know she talked about it all through the wedding night.
* This is nothing: She gave her new husband an invoice for the wedding night sex.
* It does give me an idea though: The next wedding invite that I decline, I’m going to ask for the money instead.
* PHONE TOPIC: Should the bride have billed them? Shouldn’t the couple have called at the last minute and said something? Who’s right here?
