WE HATE WHEN OTHER PEOPLE DRIVE
A survey of 2,000 adults sponsored by Cobra, a maker of automotive and consumer electronics, found that most people don’t enjoy being in a car when someone else is driving:
53% – “always” or “often” feel anxious about other drivers’ behavior
61% – agree that the pandemic has made people drive more unsafely
60% – keep their eye on the speedometer when someone else is driving
63% – admit they get nervous when their partner is driving
52% – said that they often find themselves wishing the driver would slow down, BUT
65% – admitted they drive faster than usual on both short and long road trips
* ‘Cause we know how to drive fast safely – not like these other idiots.
* And could you put some better music on, for Pete’s sake???
* Does this mean driverless cars would be better, or worse? Let’s open the phones.
* Relax. Pretty soon it’s gonna be too expensive to drive anyway.
