WANTED MAN DARES COPS TO FIND HIM

A 24-year-old Tampa, Florida, man wanted on numerous criminal charges was in jail Wednesday after daring investigators to find him. Cameron Cox was wanted on charges of dealing in stolen property, two counts of giving false information on a pawnbroker form, three counts of burglary, grand theft and petit theft. Knowing the police were looking for him, so far unsuccessfully, Cox made a post on his public Facebook page. He posted the cover photo for the movie, “Catch Me If You Can” – where Tom Hanks is a cop chasing after con man Leo DiCaprio – with the caption: “F— it. Might as well have some fun with this. LOL.” In return, the Tampa Police Department wrote on its Facebook page, “Challenge accepted”. Officers tracked down and arrested Cox at a McDonald’s on Sept. 20, two weeks after he made his Facebook post.
* Worst case of trash-talking ever.
* So – was it as much fun as he hoped it would be?
* Uh – does he realize they would have tried to catch him even without the Facebook post?
* Petit theft? What the hell is that?
* Maybe that’s where you steal something French like filet mignon.
* Now his new cellmate is friending him – if you know what I mean.
* Don’t expect Tom and Leo to be making any movies about this idiot.
