WALMART TESTS OUT NEW DRESS CODE
Walmart is testing out a new dress code, allowing SOME in-store employees at SOME of the company’s 4,700 locations to wear blue jeans instead of the previously mandated khakis or black pants. Additionally – and you’d better sit down for this – they’ll also be able to wear any solid color shirt. It remains unclear whether the new dress code will be implemented company-wide. Walmart spokesperson Justin Rushing says, “We are always testing new ideas and concepts in a small number of our stores. We won’t know next steps on this test until we’ve had a chance to learn what works and what could work better.” In the meantime, employees at the other stores – those that aren’t participating in the test – will still have to wear khaki or black pants with a solid white or blue top, in addition to the classic Walmart vest.
* Dammit, when are they gonna require a dress code for the customers?
* Won’t relaxing the dress code take away from Walmart’s classy, sophisticated image?
* I don’t care if they wear clown suits, just open some more freakin’ registers!
* They could just require all employees to wear only Walmart clothes, but that goes against the Geneva conventions.
