TWO WOMEN TRICK 19 MEN INTO MARRYING THEM

Nineteen Chinese men were tricked into marriage by two women after their money. The women were part of a group that persuaded the men to marry them and give them a betrothal gift of money. Because of China’s one-child policy, the country has 17 million more men aged between 20 and 40 than women in the same age group. In one particular case, a woman was introduced to a farmer by a matchmaker. She convinced him to marry her and give her cash and jewelry worth 148,000 yuan ($23,000). She then lied that she had to visit her parents in another town. The wife was only home for 10 days during their 2-month marriage. Meanwhile, the farmer was watching a live streaming app in March and saw his new wife marrying another man from a nearby town. He contacted that other husband and they went to the police. In all, two women and three accomplices were arrested for deceiving 19 men out of a total of $312,000.
* You know you’re in trouble when you ask your fiancee who’s going to walk her down the aisle and she says, “Somebody pretty fast. I have a train to catch.”
* Could they work out some kind of time-sharing arrangement?
* Two women marrying 19 men? That doesn’t even happen in Utah.
* I imagine those women have the “Here Comes the Bride” song playing in their head on an endless loop, and that’s gotta kinda suck.
* Fellas, your wife is going to take your money, the only question is over what period of time? These guys are lucky it was over quick.
