TRIX RETURNING TO ARTIFICIAL FLAVORS, COLORS
Trix cereal will once again be made with artificial dyes and flavors, nearly two years after they were banished from the cereal in favor of natural food colors and flavors. Food maker General Mills said Thursday that Classic Trix will return to supermarket shelves in October. But it will also continue to sell the version without artificial colors and flavors. The company said they heard from many Trix fans that they missed the bright vibrant colors and the nostalgic taste of the classic Trix cereal.
* Yeah, the public outcry was enormous. “Mom! My cereal’s not bright enough!”
* Radioactive Red … Facsimile Yellow … Noxious Orange!
* Yep, General Mills is back to their old Trix!
* As if the “natural” Trix were really any healthier.
* The ball’s in your court, Fruit Loops.
