TOY HALL OF FAME WINNERS ANNOUNCED
The National Toy Hall of Fame announced this year’s inductees: Matchbox cars, the coloring book and the collectible card game Magic: The Gathering. Those toys were selected from a group of finalists that also included Care Bears, the Fisher-Price Corn Popper, Jenga, Masters of the Universe, My Little Pony, Nerf Blaster, Risk, the smartphone and the top.
* Off to the rainbow glue factory for My Little Ponies.
* You should heard the flood of f-bombs from the Care Bears.
* Even as a 2-year-old, you know the Fisher-Price Corn Popper is lame.
* Which coloring book? I hope it isn’t Baby Huey or Richie Rich – those SUCKED!
* I nominate the ballpoint pen. I’d spend hours playing with that in class – clicking it, taking it apart, using the shaft to shoot spitballs…
* I can’t believe the simple Vibrator hasn’t been inducted into the Toy Hall of Fame. Or maybe I’m misunderstanding the eligibility requirements.
