TOY HALL OF FAME NOMINEES FOR 2022

This year’s finalists for the National Toy Hall of Fame have been announced. Here are the classic toys and games you can vote for. Three will be inducted into the Toy Hall of Fame:
– Bingo
– Lite-Brite
– Breyer horses (plastic, life-like model horses)
– The Settlers of Catan (a board game)
– Masters of the Universe
– Phase-10 (a card game like rummy)
– Rack-O (* lame-o!)
– Nerf toys
– The Piñata
– Pound Puppies
– Spirograph
– The Spinning Top (like a Duncan top, the kind you throw with a string)
* And you wonder why Toys-R-Us went bankrupt.
* Please. As if Lite-Brite got in for any other reason than being in “Stranger Things.”
* Speaking of which – how come they never nominate walkie-talkies?
* At least this year they didn’t go with the stupid stuff like “stick” or “skipping rock” or “refrigerator box.”
* “Bingo” is a smart choice. It’s good for when you’re a kid, and when you’re having your “second childhood” at the retirement home.
* I keep voting for M-80 firecrackers, but they ignore me.
