TOLEDO, OHIO, PASTOR ROBS SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER

A Toledo, Ohio, pastor and his family are accused of robbing a Sunday school teacher at the church over the weekend. Church Pastor Anthony Morris, 49, of St. Paul’s AME Zion Church, along with his wife, Zelda and 19-year-old daughter Kamali, are each charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. The teacher, Nickema Turner, was teaching Sunday school when the daughter grabbed her by the hair and began punching her, police said. Then, Pastor Morris pushed Ms. Turner to the ground. During the assault, Mrs. Morris dumped items from Ms. Turner’s purse and took them. When Ms. Turner attempted to recover her belongings, Pastor Morris allegedly pulled out a gun and pointed it at her, threatening to kill her. Two prescription bottles, a Taser, and a cell phone were taken from Ms. Turner’s purse.
* Not-so-Holy Toledo!
* From now on, Ms. Turner, keep the Taser in your pocket.
* Meanwhile, the Sunday school kids were wondering what the heck lesson was being taught.
* The Rotten Samaritan?
* The Lord taketh in mysterious ways. Or maybe I’m mixing up my idioms.
* Usually when pastors want to rob the congregation, they just get a TV show.
* His career as a pastor may be over, but on the flip side, he just qualified to join the local gang.
