THINGS TO DO BEFORE YOU’RE 40
According to a poll of 2,000 adults, from VSP Vision Care, respondents were asked to list the top things one should experience by the time they’ve turned 40:
1. Have a stable job
2. Own a car
3. Go to the doctor more often to care for your health
4. Travel with a person you love
5. Own a home
6. Start a family
7. Learn to cook/bake well
8. Volunteer at a soup kitchen, hospital or senior citizen’s home
9. Donate to charity
10. Start a hobby
11. Conquer a fear (for example, public speaking)
12. Own a business
13. See the New Year’s Eve ball drop in Times Square in person
14. Go through a break-up
15. Go on a solo date
16. Learn at least one new language
17. Ride a roller coaster
18. Watch movies like “This is 40” for laughs
19. Write a letter to yourself
20. Have a romantic dinner at the Eiffel Tower
* Write a letter to yourself from the Eiffel Tower: “Having wonderful time, wish you were here.”
* If you’re watching “This is 40,” it’s not for the laughs.
* Just a heads up – if you go with “Start a family,” you won’t have enough time for most of these.
* Jeeze, this is lame. They forgot “Order something from “Oprah’s Favorite Things Christmas Catalogue” and “Try Every Soup of the Day at Panera Bread.”
* I’ve made these lists before. They’re usually things like “Eat more fiber” and “Clean out the garage” and “Have that thing on my shoulder checked.”
* Could everybody listening take a second and send VSP Vision Care an email saying “You’re not the boss of us”?
