THE SLEEPIEST STATE: CALIFORNIA
Amerisleep mattress company compiled a list of 96 Google search terms relating to “sleep disorders” and “insomnia” and “how to get more rest,” and then calculated the average monthly search volume per 100,000 residents in each state over the last year. Based on their findings, California was ranked the sleepiest state in the U.S., with an average of 805 searches for sleep issues per 100,000 residents every month. Here are the Top Ten Sleepiest States:

3. New York
4. Massachusetts
5. Nevada
6. Georgia
7. Connecticut
8. Virginia
9. Texas
10. New Jersey
* You can’t argue with the science.
* California is the sleepiest because everybody is busy sleeping with everybody else.
* Plus you lay in bed at night listening for the sound of crackling wildfires.
* Isn’t New York the ‘city that never sleeps’?
* I fall asleep before I can get to the end of just saying “Massachusetts.”
* If only the Amerisleep mattress company had something that could help people sleep better.
