THE PLANE CRASH RIDE

A British company called Darkfield is offering the unique opportunity to experience a plane crash. The company builds what they call ‘immersive experiences’ using motion simulators, projections, lighting and headphones that give you 360-degree sound. Their latest immersive experience, coming to Nottingham, England, is called FLIGHT. The show takes place in a converted 40-ft shipping container that’s been transformed into an exact replica of a Boeing 707 aircraft. Once onboard, participants will be plunged into total darkness, while 360 degree sound and sensory effects will put each audience member in the middle of a plane crash experience. But there are two possible outcomes to each show – either the plane lands safely, or it doesn’t. The fun costs £8; the show will run from February 15-23.
* It’s weird they didn’t go with a Boeing 737 MAX.
* There’s a sign that says, “You must be THIS goth to ride this ride.”
* It’s called FLIGHT? Shouldn’t it be called SCREAM?
* Eight pounds is much cheaper than the actual Boeing airplane experience.
* For an extra five quid, a simulated Captain Sully will pilot your plane to a smooth water landing.
* Bring a change of underwear.
