TEEN PUNCHES DAD IN THE FACE AFTER BEING TOLD TO STOP TEXTING

A teenager was arrested last Saturday in Yarmouth Port, Massachusetts, after he punched his father in the face during an argument over texting, knocking him unconscious and causing a severe head injury. The confrontation took place outside a restaurant where the family was having dinner. The father had repeatedly asked the son to stop texting, which led to an argument outside. The boy struck his 63-year-old father with so much force that it knocked him unconscious. The father fell and hit his head on the ground. An off-duty firefighter took action at the scene that helped save the man’s life. The son was charged with assault and battery and later released to the custody of his mother.
