TEEN PUNCHES BEAR IN FACE, SAVES FATHER

On Monday in a rural section of Sweden, a teenager saved his father from a bear attack by punching it in the face. The unnamed father and son were pursuing the animal when it attacked the father, pinning him to the ground. The son, 15, punched the brown bear in the head, causing it to turn on him and bite him on the wrist. The distraction gave the father enough time to shoot the bear. Both were taken to a hospital, the father for facial injuries and his son for a broken wrist.
* Hand-to-hand combat is a little more fair to the animals than guns.
* Wait – they were pursuing the bear? That sounds like entrapment.
* Somebody’s allowance just got increased.
* And give him an extra hour before curfew this Saturday night.
