TEACHER GIVES ANTI-TRUMP VOCABULARY TEST
The mother of an eighth-grade student at a Joliet, Illinois, middle school posted a vocabulary test her daughter was given last month that featured numerous anti-Trump sentences (*not to mention incorrect grammar). Rebecca Ann Gomez posted a photo of a quiz that was given to her daughter by a Timber Ridge Middle School teacher. Questions that were on the test include:
· There is great (BLANK) among Americans, especially those who are strong supporter (sic) of President Trump and those who are against him. (ADVERSITY)
· “The President of the United States (BLANK) accused the media of covering up terrorist attacks in European countries.” (ARDUOUSLY)
· “I have (BLANK) to seek out non-biased news so that I am a well-educated and informed citizen.” (MOTIVE)
· “It was difficult for me to (BLANK) my feeling (sic) when I learned that Donald J. Trump had been voted in as our 45th President.” (COMPREHEND)
· “After reading about President Trump’s immigration ban, I did not realize how (BLANK) the law can be.” (RADICAL)
The mother also said that she met with school officials late last week and was told that administrators had already spoken with the teacher.
* They say those that can, teach. Apparently those that don’t know when to use a plural teach as well.
* Also, that’s one tortured use of the word “arduously”.
* I know one teacher whose (BLANK) should be kicked.
* On the other hand, if Donald Trump ever used any of those big words, the world would be shocked. Or should I say, the world would be (BLANKED).
* Try filling in the blanks with Trump’s favorite words: Tremendous, Classy, Sad, Amazing, Weak, Huge, Bigly.
* People are genuinely upset that this person is in charge. Not Trump – the teacher.
* Here’s how it works for all you teachers out there: You do something stupid, the kids tell their parents and the whole thing ends up on social media. Are we clear on this yet?
* Then – depending on how afraid your board is of lawsuits – you get suspended, disciplined or fired.
* PHONE TOPIC: Are anti-Trump sentiments creeping into your child’s school assignments?
