A new survey of 2,000 Americans from a website called The Genius Of Play reveals some insights about our dream job:
– 43 percent of us are currently working at their dream job
– On average, those respondents first landed their dream jobs at age 23
– 34% say their parents’ jobs influenced their career trajectory
– The Top Five Things People Wanted To Be When They Grew Up: Doctor or Nurse, Lawyer, Actor, Artist, Teacher.
* #6, oddly, was Rattlesnake Milker.
* I think if these people are holding steady jobs they’ve probably already grown up.
* Just curious – how many people working at the Genius Of Play website like THEIR jobs?
* How old is this survey? I’d think the top five things people today want to be when they grow up is Social Influencer, Blogger, Brand Ambassador, Podcaster and Korean Boy Band Singer.
* When I was little, I wanted to grow up to be a Trust Fund Brat, but my parents didn’t do their part.
