SURVEY ON AGING
A new survey of 2,000 Americans over age 40 on aging by Foster Grant finds:
– People don’t begin to embrace getting older until they hit 47.
– 35% say they get offended if someone calls them old.
– Seeing a celebrity they’ve never heard of, having trouble seeing in a dimly lit room, and not being on TikTok contributes to people feeling like they’re too old. (* Also if you have to bend, stretch, lift something, or read the fine print on a medicine label.)
– 77% feel younger than they actually are. On average, people say they feel seven years younger than their actual age.
* That’s got to be weird for 2nd graders.
* If you remember when Foster Grants were a big thing, you’re old, baby.
* It’s still the same old story, huh?
* I feel like five years have passed just reading this bit.
* After the past twelve months, everybody in the world ought to be able to reset their age back by one year.
