SURVEY: 35% OF ADULTS HAVE AT LEAST ONE EXPENSE PAID FOR BY PARENTS

According to a new poll of 2,000 Americans, from Chartway Credit Union, more than one third of adults (35%) admit they still have at least one recurring bill being paid for by their parents.
– The top three expenses their parents still pay for are rent, groceries and utilities.
– Despite not managing all of their expenses, 85 percent of respondents consider themselves to be financially responsible.
* Honestly, paying your kid’s rent is probably a better option than having them move back in with you.
* Getting help with groceries is easy. When you visit your parents, wear oversized clothes so your mom thinks you’re underfed.
* At least, that’s what my one friend told me.
* Helping with the rent or food or utilities is understandable, but if your parents are paying your cable bill or gym membership, you should be ashamed of yourself.
* As long as they keep to the penny-ante stuff and don’t ask for help with the student loans.
