SOMEONE TRIED TO MAIL A FERRET

Police in Denver, Colorado, are investigating the person who tried to mail a live ferret. The ferret had been sealed in a cardboard box and chewed its way to freedom inside a post office, where it ran loose. Animal control was called, and the animal was taken to a shelter to recover from dehydration and exhaustion. The package had been sent from Fort Morgan, Colorado, and investigators have identified the sender. Police are now determining whether animal cruelty charges will be filed.
