SNAKE BITES LITTLE GIRL ON FACE AT PETTING ZOO
A little girl visiting Russia’s Butterflies Park petting zoo was bitten in the face by a mildly venomous snake, as happens at petting zoos. Five-year-old Viktoria was holding a two-foot rufous beaked snake when it curled around her neck and bit her on the jaw. It was only after she was bitten that a staff member removed the reptile — a mildly venomous breed that hails from East Africa. Viktoria was taken to a hospital as a safety measure. It is not clear why the snake — which zoo workers say had never before attacked anyone — decided to bite, but it was determined that Viktoria had reportedly eaten a chicken dinner before handling the snake. She had also been petting zoo’s chicks before moving on to the reptiles.
* Oh, just coat the child in snake food, why don’t you.
* Maybe the snake doesn’t like being called “rufous beaked.”
* Now that she smells like snake, they should have let her pet the mongoose.
* The words “petting zoo” must translate different in Russian.
* Isn’t this how Spider-Man started?
