SIT DOWN, DRINK COFFEE, LIVE LONGER
According to a new study published in the journal BMC Public Health, sedentary coffee drinkers had a 24 percent reduced risk of mortality compared with those who sat for more than six hours and didn’t drink coffee. Got that? Non-coffee drinkers who sat six hours or more per day were 58 percent more likely to die – of all causes – than coffee drinkers who sit for less than six hours a day. This, according to the researchers, indicates both the risk of sedentary behavior and the benefit of coffee drinking. The study used data from 10,639 subjects, collected from 2007 to 2018 in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey.
* As we like to say, you can’t argue with the science.
* I need to know more: are you sitting in a hard chair, like at a coffee shop, on in a recliner?
* I’m sorry, but if I sit and drink coffee for six hours, my head will explode.
* What if it’s bad coffee, does that affect your lifespan?
* If you sit in another room so you have to walk more than 30 feet to refill your cup, you’ll be fine.
