SHOPLIFTER LOCKED IN STORE AFTER CLOSING

A suspected shoplifter called 911 for help after she got locked inside a Kohl’s store in Kent, Ohio. Police were already heading to the department store because the intruder alarms went off when 35-year-old Joanne Havens called for help, saying she heard the store-closing announcements and simply didn’t leave in time. But police checked surveillance video and saw her taking clothing items. They also found stolen items in her purse.
* A cunning plan.
* “Nice story, Joanne. Now get in the squad car.”
* I guess she didn’t think about surveillance cameras ’cause they’re such a recent development.
* Kohl’s? Stealing from the store that mails out coupons for 15, 20 and 30% off? That’s just mean.
* It’s still refreshing to hear of a store that’s still in business.
* Although that could change with a few more Joannes.
* When you read about stores closing these days, it’s not for the night. It’s forever.
* I wish we could hear Joanne’s call to the police just to check on her acting chops.
