SEX AFTER HEART ATTACK HELPS YOU LIVE LONGER
Scientists say sex increases long-term survival rates after a heart attack. In a new study published in the American Journal of Medicine, researchers tracked 1,120 male and female participants, all 65 or younger at the time of their first heart attack in 1992 or 1993. By 2015, 524 of them had died. Of the survivors during that period of time, those who had sex multiple times a week were 27% less likely to die. Those who got lucky once a week were 12% less likely to die, and those who did it infrequently were 8% less likely to die.
* So, what – I’m supposed to go to my parents with this information? Forget it.
* I’m all for sex after a heart attack, but I guess you have to have a consenting emergency room nurse.
* Sex after heart attack. Must be the same principal as having a drink when you’re hungover.
* How does it work for, say, a sprained knee?
* Staying alive for sex. I can see how that would motivate you.
* Of course, ANY kind of cardio workout helps with long-term heart attack survival, but making it about sex got them a lot more attention.
