SCIENCE: GALS LIKE THE DAD BODS

Why do women like men with a dad bod? Why is Taylor Swift dating Travis Kelce? Science wanted to know. A recent survey by Dating.com found that nearly 75% of singles are fans of the “dad bod” – not terribly overweight, just a little bit chubby. Research out of Bucknell University in Pennsylvania (* Good ol’ Buck U!) found that that while women don’t find portly men physically attractive, they do find them “affectionate, nurturing, friendly” and good parent potential. On the other hand, hard-bodied men tend to have high levels of testosterone, causing ladies to perceive them as aggressive and unappealing. Also, women are less concerned their chunky monkey will stray because – come on, who else wants a pantload like that?
