ROBBER DEMANDED CRIME BE BROADCAST LIVE ON FACEBOOK
Abdul Aziz owns the Jersey Street deli on Staten Island, New York. Aziz has a large following on Facebook with thousands of followers. He often posts live videos from his phone. But last Wednesday, 30-year-old Rasheem Harrison, who’s been in the store before, walked in, pulled out a huge knife made a bizarre demand. He threatened to kill Aziz if he didn’t put him on Facebook. So he streamed the armed robbery as it was happening using Facebook Live. Harrison ranted about wanting to find someone, grabbed an ice cream cone and refused to pay for it. After several tense minutes, the suspect stormed out and was arrested about a half hour later.
* This millennial narcissism has gone too far.
* Sounds like he had brain-freeze before he went and stole the ice cream cone.
* Who eats ice cream cones this time of year anyway?
* There are no bizarre demands when the suspect has a large knife. All you say is, “Yes, sir. Right away, sir.”
* I’ve said it before but how long until these crimes have official sponsors?
* “Hello, I’m here from the good folks at Pepsi Corporation to rob your store.”
* Don’t knock it. You’d get more publicity than this Facebook thing.
