REPORTER NOTICES DEAD MAN IN BODY BAG IS MOVING
In Araguaina, Brazil, 71-year-old Raimundo da Silva suddenly fell ill while riding his motorbike last Wednesday, and he crashed. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. They placed his body in a bag and left the scene while the police supervised the body until the coroners arrived. While waiting, a reporter covering the accident noticed the bag twitching. Police opened the bag and saw a small bubble of air coming out of the corner of Mr. da Silva’s mouth. They performed CPR on him for ten minutes. The sheepish paramedics (* Oh, dopey me!) were called back to the scene and they took him to a hospital alive. The paramedics said they will look over the man’s medical record to try to understand what happened.
* What they ought to look over are their own test scores on the EMT final exam.
* Never hire paramedics named Moe, Larry and Curly.
* The reporter, on the other hand, is doing his job spectacularly: observe, report.
* And now, Mr. da Silva going to get charged for a double paramedic call.
* Kinda lucky those body bags aren’t airtight.
* That ends today’s episode of The Motorcycling Dead.
