POLICE MINISTER HAS PURSE STOLEN DURING SPEECH TO POLICE
The UK’s Policing Minister Dame Diana Johnson had her purse stolen from her hotel while she gave a speech at a conference for senior police officers on Tuesday. The thieves struck while Johnson was giving a speech blaming the Conservatives for an “epidemic of theft” at the annual Police Superintendents’ Association conference. She was explaining her government’s plans to boost neighborhood policing. While theft at a police conference is the very definition of irony, a 56-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of stealing the purse.
* Let me guess – it was the guy carrying the handbag? Good work, officers!
* Sounds like they should hurry up with that increased neighborhood policing.
* So as Policing Minister, did she report the crime to herself?
* But the real crime was the chicken they served during the luncheon.
